3 Plus-Size Active Wear Lines to Help You Meet Your 2017 Goals

The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to reevaluate our fitness goals. I mean to be honest once Christmas and New Year’s are over none of us have money leftover to eat out with anyway! My inbox has been full of retailers promoting their athletic attire but recently I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see plus-size stores in the mix! Thanks to the popularity of women like Jessamyn Stanley the myths that left us big girls stuck with oversized tees shirts and our boyfriend’s sweatpants seem to be no more! Designers are acknowledging that plus-size women actually do work out and we’d like to do it in style. So ditch your unflattering sports bra and check our three of my favorite options below!

1. Leading the pack is Lane Bryant. Since their explosive #ThisBody campaign launched their in house designers have been killing it at everything from cocktail attire to Cacique lingerie. Their Livi Activewear line is no different. I consider their leggings a Sunday morning staple because when you hit that downward facing dog with a full figure you've got to be confident in your cuteness.

2. Ever since they saved the day on my 20th birthday Fashion to Figure has remained a great affordable option for last minute “going out” dresses. Recently they’ve branched out by providing accessible activewear in a variety of fun colors and prints. I can't wait to see more of what they have to offer.

3. Torrid has brought its signature attitude to activewear by reminding their customers that they don’t have to be a size 6 to kick ass.

Interested in upgrading your gym look? Head to your local Lane Bryant on January 7th for The LIVI New Year Event where you can benefit from their Buy One, Get One FREE offer on the LIVI Active collection all day long, and enjoy special giveaways from 2-4PM. Plus, if you make a LIVI Active purchase of $49.95 or more you’ll will receive a FREE LIVI Active tote, while supplies last.
